Earlier today saw images of Zachary Levi in the Shazam! movie costume leak online, which unfortunately haven’t been well received by fans online.
Admittedly, the costume does look a bit hoaky and corny, but bear in mind, the images weren’t taken with a high-def camera or by a professional photographer.
The good news is that the Shazam! costume may look a lot better once it’s on screen as a Twitter user from Toronto has seen it up close.
“Saw the Shazam suit in person. Looked sharp to me. It’s nicer in person than the leaked photo. Zack is really built. They had something over the lightning bolt which I am sure they will make look cool on screen,” Daniel Eliesen tweeted.
As noted, WB will probably be using CGI for the lightning bolt on the costume, perhaps giving it some cool glowing effect.

There has also been comparisons of Zachary Levi’s Shazam! costume to the Henry Cavill Man of Steel costume, in that the latter looks a lot better.
Eliesen noted this as well: “The Shazam suit does not look anywhere near as detailed as Superman suit,” but added: “The suit is very comic book accurate though.”
The Twitter user also thought the same as a lot of us in that we are wondering why WB didn’t go with an official reveal image of Zachary Levi in costume, and it’s also made known they filmed Shazam! at a local mall, which provided more of a look.
“In addition to the picture leaked today if you were at the mall they were filming at there was full visibility to Zack in the suit. They should have teased the suit with an official image before today’s shoot,” Eliesen said.

Not going to lie, I have no idea why an official photo of the #Shazam suit wasn’t released prior to today’s shoot. Given the location, it was a miracle only one picture leaked.

Shazam! has an April 5, 2019 directed by David F. Sandberg also starring Mark Strong in the role of Super-Villain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana, Jack Dylan Grazer (“IT”) as Billy’s best friend and ultimate superhero enthusiast, Freddy, part of the foster family that includes Mary, played by Grace Fulton (“Annabelle: Creation”); Darla, played by Faithe Herman (TV’s “This is Us”); Eugene, played by Ian Chen (TV’s “Fresh Off the Boat”); and Pedro, played by Jovan Armand (TV’s “Hawaii Five-O”). Cooper Andrews (TV’s “The Walking Dead”) and Marta Milans (TV’s “Killer Women”) play foster parents Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with Ron Cephas Jones (“This is Us”) as the Wizard.
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
