Two days ago saw Daredevil showrunner and Pacific Rim Uprising director Steven S. DeKnight questioned about interest in Man of Steel 2.
DeKnight took to Twitter to respond with, “Up, up and away,” which saw a lot of fans respond with support.
Now Steven S. DeKnight has again taken to Twitter, but now suggests that Zack Snyder should direct Man of Steel 2.
Good lord. All I said was “Up, up and away” in response to being asked if I’d be interested in directing MOS2. My preference would be to see @ZackSnyder helm the sequel. Love his work. https://t.co/I3U8hEpYVr

Man of Steel 2 is said to be in development with a rumored announcement coming this Summer which includes a director and release date.
While there has yet to be an official announcement, Henry Cavill recently expressed interest in doing a Man of Steel 2.
“There’s a wonderful opportunity to tell the Superman story,” Henry Cavill said. “Now there is a fantastic chance to show Superman in his full colors and tell a very complex, character-driven movie that is based on story and have that wonderful sensation of hope and happiness. A feel-good movie with lessons laced in there as well.”
A new “Return of Superman” scene is also a part of the upcoming release of the Justice League Blu-Ray, and Henry Cavill has been a part of the home video release’s marketing.
Man of Steel debuted back in 2013 and made over $668 million worldwide.
