More changes to the DCEU look to be happening as it’s being said the role of Iris West will be recast for the Flashpoint movie.
Iris West was originally going to be played by Kiersey Clemons, but her part was cut from the Justice League movie; however, the deleted scene did leak online with Kiersey Clemons in the footage.
Now a VFX artist has taken to Reddit claiming that Irist West will be recast because director Rick Famuyiwa left The Flash movie over creative differences.
I’ve said before, we were replacing Clemons with a digital woman in the shot – Clemons was brought on because of Famuyiwa, when he bailed, it meant WB could recast her. That’s around the time the shot was cut.
Now it’s been leaked online with her in it, they’ll probably stop all the work being done on it to replace her to stop fan backlash.
Rick Famuyiwa hand picked Kiersey Clemons to play the role of Iris West as the two worked together on Famuyiwa’s Dope movie.
Consider this a rumor right now as Flashpoint doesn’t have a release date or even a director as of yet.
Ezra Miller will reprise as The Flash for Flashpoint with the movie also rumored to feature Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Billy Crudup back as Henry Allen and possibly Jason Momoa as Aquaman and other DC heroes.
