Ben Mendelsohn is in talks to play the villain in the upcoming Marvel Studios Captain Marvel film.
The actor actually worked with Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck previously in Mississippi Grind.
It’s thought that Ben Mendelsohn might actually be playing the leader of the Skrulls, as the Skrulls were confirmed as villains back at Comic-Con.
Captain Marvel has a March 8, 2019 release also starring Brie Larson as the titular character and Samuel L. Jackson, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet writing the script.
Brie Larson will also be featured in the untitled Avengers 4 movie which follows Captain Marvel on May 3, 2019.
Ben Mendelsohn is also known for Star Wars: Rogue One, the Bloodline TV series, and stars in the upcoming Ready Player One.
