Mystique is a blue-colored mutant who has the ability to shapeshift, so both Rebecca Romijn and Jennifer Lawrence had to have the prosethetics and makeup applied while in their birthday suits.
Rebecca Romijn recently took to her social networks on Twitter and Instagram to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Mystique makeup process which is rather revealing.

“An actor prepares… #Xmen #Mystique #Mutant #Transformation #Flashback,” she said about the second.
Rebecca Romijn was actually featured in four X-Men movies, X-Men, X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and she had a cameo in X-Men: First Class.
Rebecca Romijn can be seen in The Librarians on TNT and has The Swinging Lantern Stories coming out next year.
