It’s learned the Captain Marvel movie from Marvel Studios has a new screenwriter.
Deadline reports Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be writing the Captain Marvel script.
Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman were originally set to write the Captain Marvel script but according to the report LeFauve had to leave to direct the Disney animated movie Gigantic with Nathan Greno. Perlman also wrote the first draft of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie and offered an update on Captain Marvel on Twitter:
No – Geneva is taking it from here and I’m sure she’ll knock it out of the park. It’s been a great 2.5 years though. 😉
