The Krypton series from SyFy and David S. Goyer has found its female lead with Georgina Campbell.
Deadline reports Georgina Campbell will play Lyta Zod.
The character is described as: Lyta Zod is a member of Krypton’s military caste and the daughter of a general, Alura Zod. Lyta Zod serves as a cadet — and has also been having a clandestine, forbidden romance with Seg-El (not cast yet).
Lyta Zod was first mentioned in a Krypton casting call which describes the characters being used.
Georgina Campbell is known for After Hours and will be featured in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword movie.
Krypton is the much-anticipated Superman prequel set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet. Krypton will follow Superman’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
