Robocop Reboot Loses Its Villain; Hugh Laurie Leaves The House

It seems the Robocop reboot has lost its villain with Hugh Laurie apparently off the project.

A reporter for Variety tweeted that Laurie will not be playing the villain as talks have apparently fell through.

Laurie was never confirmed for the role in the first place, just that he was in talks to play the evil CEO of Omni Corp.

Perhaps after word got out about a reported script consisting of a transforming Robocop (not kidding), Laurie decided to head for the nearest door and …ahem… leave the house.

Robocop is set to open August 9th, 2013.
