Watchmen’s Billy Crudup To Play Flash Movie’s Father

It’s being reported that Billy Crudup will play the father to Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in the upcoming DCEU The Flash movie.

Variety reports Billy Crudup, who played Dr. Manhattan for Zack Snyder in the 2009 Watchmen movie, will play the part of Henry Allen.

John Wesley Shipp, who plays the character on The Flash TV series, chimed in with support on Twitter: Inspired casting; can’t wait!

Billy Crudup has also starred in Almost Famous, Big Fish and is featured in Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien: Covenant. Ezra Miller first appeared as Barry Allen and The Flash in Batman Vs. Superman and will next appear in Justice League.

The Flash has a March 16, 2018 release directed by Rick Famuyiwa also starring Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
