Ezra Miller Talks The Flash Powers For Solo Movie & Justice League

Ezra Miller debuted in Batman Vs. Superman with two cameo scenes that features a Flash at the opposite end of the Speed Force spectrum as one scene features Barry Allen prior to becoming “The Flash,” with the second scene featuring a Flash who can time travel.

Talking with IGN, Ezra Miller offers that The Flash will further evolve in the Justice League movie and still further in the solo The Flash film, but will still be getting used to his speed powers.

“I certainly think it will represent the next stage,” Ezra Miller explained. “What I find fascinating is that we’re still very much amateur-hour Speedster. I’d love for the series to track an evolution of Barry Allen’s early times as The Flash.”

Miller also contemplates if we’ll ever see a fully powered Flash on the big screen and references the popular DC Comics graphic novel Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross.

“Like, I love this comic Kingdom Come – unbelievable art – and in that The Flash is fully evolved, and you never even see him, right? It’s just like a red mist, and there’s no crime in [Keystone] City. He protects a whole chunk of the country,” Miller said.

Ezra Miller goes on to state that he doesn’t think an all-powerful Flash like the version in Kingdom Come would make for a particularly interesting movie.

“So that wouldn’t make for the most interesting film – you know what I mean? What do we have to learn about that guy? That guy barely exists, right? He’s almost one with the Speed Force. So it’s interesting to go to the beginning,” Miller said.

“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release; “The Flash” has a March 16, 2018 release.
