Deathstroke Still In The Works Says Joe Manganiello

If everything would have gone according to plan, following the Justice League post-credits scene, Joe Manganiello would have played a villain in the Ben Affleck The Batman movie, and a Deathstroke movie was also announced.

However, things don’t always work out as intended as Ben Affleck departed from directing citing he didn’t like the script, and the Deathstroke movie appears to be on the backburner, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Slade Wilson in the DCEU is not happening.

“I say, ‘It’s in the works,’ because it is, and there’s nothing further that I can say without speaking out of school,” he told MTV, “because I’m part of a team, I’m a part of a locker room — you don’t talk outside the locker room. But all I can say is, for the hardcore fans, it’s in the works. They want the character to happen, it’s just when he happens. Everybody’s commiitted to [getting it done the right way.]”

There is actually a rumor floating out there that Deathstroke might be appearing in Suicide Squad 2, so Joe Manganiello could be back in the DCEU relatively soon.

Check out more from Joe Manganiello in the video below where he also talks Wolverine, the X-Men and Dungeons and Dragons:
