‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Figure Gives First Look At Christian Bale As Gorr The God Butcher

Thanks to merchandise and promo art, the villain of Thor: Love and Thunder stands revealed as action figures reveal Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher.

The Hasbro Marvel action figure and art reveals Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher dressed in white with grey skin sporting the “All-Black the Necrosword,” a sword forged using the head of a slain Celestial that is capable of killing any god. Long story short, Gorr blames the gods for not helping his family who all perished around him, while all his family and people still believed in the gods, so he vowed to kill them all.

The box art also reveals the description, “Wielding a strange and terrifying weapon. Gorr will let nothing stand in his way.”

Marvel Studios has yet to reveal any footage or the plot, so how close the movie is to the comics remain to be seen, but it’s thought the first Thor: Love and Thunder trailer will be released next month with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Merchandise and art has also revealed the new costumes for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s The Mighty Thor, and Tessa Thompson also revealed a look at Valkyrie’s new suit. See below.

Thor: Love and Thunder gets released on July 8 directed by Taika Waititi and also stars Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and guest stars Matt Damon, Melissa McCarthy, Sam Neill, and Luke Hemsworth, with Jaimie Alexander said to return as Sif, and Russell Crowe is said to be playing Zeus, with Waititi again voicing Korg.
