Marvel has officially announced the cast of Thor: Ragnarok which includes Karl Urban as Skurge (Executioner), Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Cate Blanchett is also confirmed as Hela, and Tessa Thompson will play Valkyrie. Check out new concept art as well.

Marvel Studios Confirms Stellar New Cast Members of the Highly Anticipated âThor: Ragnarokâ
Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, & Mark Ruffalo join the illustrious cast!
Two-time OscarÂź-winner Cate Blanchett (âBlue Jasmine,â âCarol, âCinderellaâ) joins Marvel Studiosâ âThor: Ragnarokâ as the mysterious and powerful new villain Hela, along with Jeff Goldblum (the upcoming âIndependence Day: Resurgence,â âThe Grand Budapest Hotel,â âJurassic Parkâ) who joins the cast as the eccentric Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson (âCreed,â âSelmaâ) who will bring the classic hero Valkyrie to life on the big screen, and Karl Urban (âStar Trekâ trilogy, âThe Lord of the Rings: Return of the Kingâ) who will add his might to the fray as Skurge.
Rounding out the cast for the film is three-time OscarÂź-nominee Mark Ruffalo (âSpotlight,â âThe Kids Are All Right,â âFoxcatcherâ), reprising his role of Bruce Banner/the Hulk from âMarvelâs The Avengersâ and Marvelâs âAvengers: Age of Ultron.â

Thorâs new cast members join returning stars Chris Hemsworth (âRush,â âIn the Heart of the Sea,â âGhostbustersâ) in the title role for the fifth time; Tom Hiddleston (âCrimson Peak,â âThe Night Manager,â âKong: Skull Islandâ) as Thorâs adversarial, adopted brother, Loki; Golden GlobeÂź and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Idris Elba (âThe Dark Tower,â âLuther,â âBeasts of No Nationâ) as the Asgardian sentry, Heimdall; and Academy AwardÂź-winner Sir Anthony Hopkins (âSilence of the Lambs,â âNixon,â âHitchcockâ) again portraying Odin, Ruler of Asgard.
âThor: Ragnarok,â the third installment of Marvelâs popular Norse Super Hero, is directed by OscarÂź-nominated filmmaker Taika Waititi (âTwo Cars, One Night,â âWhat We Do in the Shadows,â âHunt for the Wilderpeopleâ). Kevin Feige will produce the film, joined by executive producers Louis DâEsposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee.
