With Henry Cavill starring in the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Fallout movie, fans are wondering if co-star Tom Cruise will ever be joining the DC Cinematic Universe.
While promoting the movie, MTV mentions to Henry Cavill that fans have pegged Tom Cruise as Green Lantern.
“I think there would be something very interesting in that. Absolutely,” Henry Cavill said with a laugh.
Tom Cruise was then asked if Henry Cavill ever tried luring him into the superhero side of things.
“No, we haven’t talked about that, actually. No, we haven’t talked about that,” Tom Cruise responded with a smile. “We are always too focused on the movie, the scene, the mustache…”
Tom Cruise is then asked about the potential of ever donning super hero tights.
“You know there is always another mountain in anything,” Cruise said. “I’ll never say no if I find something that’s interesting, and I think that an audience would like to see it. And they’d be entertained by it and I feel like I can contribute something to it.”
So if Tom Cruise ever does nab a super hero role, who should he play? Green Lantern? Maxwell Lord? How about Marvel?
