Zachary Levi responds to claims of having fake muscles for the Shazam! movie.
The actor has been spotted in set pics where he appears to be a little more buff than usual, with it thought the costume has some sort of muscle padding underneath.
“Sooo much padding,” Levi posted on Twitter with a “rolling eyes” emjoi along with the hashtags #FakeNews, #FakeMuscles, #FakeWeights, and #FakeChickenAndBroccoli.

Men’s Health magazine noticed as well and posted a surprsing(?) click-bait article questioning the truth of Zachary Levi’s claims. The article reads like something out of the National Enquirer and comes off as rather odd.
Levi responded to the article as well.
“Well, it’s a good thing I’m not selling anything then. Also, slow news day?” Levi posted on Twitter with a “woman tipping hand” emoji.
Regarding Levi and his muscles, it is known he went through an extensive work out for the role, but I’m guessing his costume is enhanced.
I believe Henry Cavill’s Superman costume was enahnced so it would show more definition, but I don’t believe it was using padding as Henry Cavill was shown shirtless and looked pretty buff.
I do think Ben Affleck wore some sort of muscle suit as reportedly the Batman costume was modeled using a bodybuilder.
All in all, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal if Zachary Levi is wearing some sort of padded suit as long as it looks natural enough on screen.
And if I was Levi, I wouldn’t worry too much about what Men’s Health has to say. Any guy that can hold their own weight in the gym knows it’s basically a pretend “fitness” rag (lol). Guess that’s why they’re now doing click-bait and went the tabloid route.

Cooper Andrews (TV’s “The Walking Dead”) and Marta Milans (TV’s “Killer Women”) play foster parents Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with Ron Cephas Jones (“This is Us”) as the Wizard.
