No Plans For Marvel’s ‘Agatha’ Season 2 Hints Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn Hahn opens up about the last episode of Marvel’s Agatha hinting that the series will have no second season.

It’s known Agatha is not exactly a ratings success, so a Season 2 not happening wouldn’t be a surprise. However, the series is Marvel’s cheapest show to make, so who knows what could happen.

That said, I believe Agatha was billed as a limted/miniseries, so they might not have planned for a second season.

What did Kathryn Hahn say about Agatha?

While taking with the LA Times, Kathryn Hahn said if things ended the way they did, she would be okay with it:

“Even though obviously now Billy/Wiccan is not her son, there is some sort of hope for her that she’s able to maybe do for him what she couldn’t do for Nicky. I think they do make a great team. Of course, I love this part and I love Joe Locke madly, and we’ll see what the future holds,” Hahn says. “In my mind, this was a beautiful and satisfying way to say goodbye to this incredible character I had to play.

Story could continue in Young Avengers

While Agatha Season 2 might not be happening, what could be happening is that the story of Billy/Wiccan continues in another series.

According to the latest rumors, Marvel is developing Young Avengers as a TV series for Disney +. Additional rumors also offer that due to all the actors involved being so old, Young Avengers is getting turned into a “Champions” series.

It’s guessed making up the Young Avengers or the Champions in the MCU could include Joe Locke’s Billy/Wiccan and:

  • Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel)
  • Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop (Hawkeye)
  • Kathyrn Newton as Cassie Lang (Stature/Stinger)
  • Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez (Miss America)
  • Dominique Thorn as Riri Williams (Ironheart)
  • Rumors have also offered Elijah Bradley (Patriot) and Tommy (Speed); possibly Skaar from She-Hulk
