Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice starts off its early launch with a disaster as developer Rocksteady Studios has been forced to yank the game after only an hour due to a bug that when players log on, the bug automatically gave players full story completion.
Players paid an extra $30 for the Deluxe Edition and were granted three days of early access.
“Game will be unavailable”
“We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion,” announced the game on social media. “To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers.”
The game’s social media added, “During this time the game will be unavailable. We expect this to take several hours and will update once we have more information.”
“We apologise for the inconvenience,” they said.
In another tweet, the game added, “We have identified the problem that was affecting player profiles and are currently testing a fix. We hope to implement it and have the game back online as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
Update: Game is back online as the official account tweeted, “Our scheduled maintenance has been completed. #SuicideSquadGame is back online, so grab your Squad and get back to Metropolis!”

Fans not happy
Fans haven’t been happy and there is no word if Rocksteady will be issuing refunds for the $30 extra fee.
“This is why games have offline modes, how many times do these companies have to learn the same lesson?” says a tweet in response that have been viewed 35k times.

No offline mode
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice doesn’t have an offline mode and Rocksteady doesn’t refer to the game as a live service game, as Rocksteady has said an offline mode will be added at a later unknown date, sometime in 2024.
The SuicideSquadGaming sub on Reddit is also blowing up with comments.
“The game is literally unavailable because the servers are down??? Even if you want to play alone,” said one fan.
“That’s pretty poor that they did not catch this in quality assurance. Sucks for the people that paid extra to play it early,” said another.
“Absolutely does not help with the image that the game has,” added another.
Already at a discount
It’s also known just days before its release Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice has seen a big price drop, at least in the UK, as the price in the UK is down 37% just days before launch (via IGN).
