Black Panther 3 Release Confirmed After Avengers

Black Panther 3 Release Confirmed After Avengers

As expected, it’s confirmed that the Black Panther 3 release will follow the new Avengers movies.

Exiting Marvel producer Nate Moore fielded a question while at the Red Carpet Premiere for Captain America: Brave New World about Black Panther 3.

What did Nate Moore say about the Black Panther 3 release?

Variety caught up with Moore and questioned, “When are we going to see that next Black Panther?”

Moore replied, “We’ve had early talks with Coogler. He’s finishing up Sinners which is going to be an amazing film and then we’ are going to’ll get into it after that. It won’t be before Avengers. That’s our next big thing. Obviously this year we have Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four, all the road to The Avengers but we’ll get back to Wakanda as soon as we can.”

Marvel has untitled film releases set for 2028

Avengers: Doomsday comes out in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027, so per Moore’s words above, it seems likely Black Panther 3 won’t be released until at least 2028.

Marvel does have three release dates set for untitled films, so in addition to at least one thought for X-Men, maybe one is for Black Panther 3?

What are Marvel’s 2028 release dates?

The release dates for the three untitled Marvel movies in 2028 are:

  • February 18, 2028
  • May 5, 2028
  • November, 10, 2028

Will Marvel recast T’Challa?

On everyone’s mind is whether or not Marvel will recast T’Challa. Most fans seem to agree that Marvel should recast Black Panther, which is something that the brother of the late Chadwick Boseman has said the actor would have wanted.

However, Moore recently shot down rumors surrounding Marvel is recasting T’Challa.

“The truth is, there’s no truth to those rumors,” he said in a recent interview. “Never say never to anything, we haven’t really had a lot of creative conversations with Ryan Coogler yet, because he’s finishing his film Sinners, which comes out this year. We’ll get into it later this year, but everything you read online is not true, if for no other reason than we just haven’t started [working on it].”
