Watch: ‘Terrifier’ Star Plays the Joker in Gruesome Fan Film

David Howard Thornton, best known for playing Art the Clown in the popular Terrifier movies, puts on his happy face once again—this time as DC’s Clown Prince of Crime in the fan film Joker’s Wild.

The fan film is a take on the DC Comics classic storyline Batman: Death in the Family, in which the Joker kills the Jason Todd version of Robin. Be warned—Joker’s Wild is pretty gruesome and not for the faint of heart. Watch the short film below.

David Howard Thorton wants to play Joker for James Gunn’s DCU

Following the release of Terrifier 3, which crushed it at the box office, David Howard Thorton said he wants to play James Gunn’s Joker in the new DCU. The actor filled in Games Radar:

“The Joker is my favorite villain of all time, and that’s a character I would love to play myself one day. So hopefully someone like James Gunn gives me the opportunity to tackle that character because I would like to do a lot of fun things with him.”
