The first trailer for Return to Silent Hill is out, giving you a sharp look at how the new film tackles the Silent Hill story with a focus on psychological breakdown, twisted visuals, and the return of classic monsters.
The movie follows James, played by Jeremy Irvine (Outlander, Treadstone, Warhorse), as he heads back to the cursed town after receiving a strange letter from his lost love, only to find a place he barely recognizes and threats that push his grip on reality.

Jeremy Irvine stars as as James Sunderland, with Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary Crane, Robert Strange as Red Pyramid, Evie Templeton as Laura, Pearse Egan as Eddie Dombrowski, Eve Macklin as Kaitlyn, Emily Carding as Dara, Martine Richards as Claudette, and Howard Saddler as Cal.
Christophe Gans returns as director and co-writer. He previously helmed the 2006 film adaptation and now pushes the new movie deeper into the psychological tone of Silent Hill 2.
Akira Yamaoka Returns to Score the Film
The trailer confirms that Akira Yamaoka, the composer behind the original Silent Hill games, is scoring the film. His sound is a defining part of the franchise’s identity, and the new footage already hints at familiar tension, industrial rhythms, and atmospheric dread.
