Leaked footage and newly released set photos are giving fans their first real look at Alex Garland’s Elden Ring movie, and it already looks like A24 is going big with The Lands Between.
Shortlist published exclusive images from the production in London, while earlier fan-shot footage making the rounds online appeared to show a church-like build and a statue that looked pulled straight from the game.
Elden Ring set images show a huge production
According to Shortlist, filming is underway at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, South London.
The site has been turned into a foggy medieval location packed with extras, soldiers, carts, tents, smoke effects, green screens, and large practical builds. The site also published photos showing Alex Garland on set.
The report says boxes and props on location were labeled with names tied to major Elden Ring locations, including “Leyndell Streets” and “Stormveil.”
Another set of props looked similar to the hanging lanterns associated with Raya Lucaria. That has fans thinking Garland is pulling directly from some of the game’s most recognizable areas.

The footage appears to show a ruined church-style set and what looked like a statue resembling Queen Marika, which immediately got Elden Ring fans talking.
At the time, it wasn’t officially confirmed what project the set belonged to, but the new Shortlist photos make it clear the movie is now deep into production.
