Paramount’s Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender Leaks Online As Fans Rip Voice Acting

Paramount’s Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender has leaked online months ahead of release, with footage spreading on X after user ImStillDissin claimed, “Nickelodeon accidentally emailed me the entire Avatar aang movie.”

The posts gained traction fast, and the clips were later disabled with a copyright notice, which is the clearest sign yet the footage was legit.

Leaker threatens to show more

The leaker didn’t stop at posting clips.

In a follow-up, they said if Paramount does not release a trailer soon, they could livestream the movie alongside Peggle Deluxe gameplay.

Reports on Sunday said more than three minutes of footage had already surfaced before the copyright takedowns started hitting.

What the leaked Avatar: Aang footage shows

According to Polygon, one clip shows Team Avatar working together to heal an ancient Airbender who had been trapped in ice, echoing Aang’s own introduction in the original series.

A second clip appears to come later in the movie, with the ancient Airbender attempting to pull a temple from the Spirit World into the real world, which brings in alternate versions of Team Avatar and a Spirit World creature voiced by Taika Waititi.

Later images from the credits reportedly revealed several previously unknown character details.

Polygon says Ke Huy Quan plays Avatar Xian, Ken Jeong voices the Cabbage Merchant, Dave Bautista voices the ancient Airbender named Tagah, and Waititi’s creature is called a Gorillavark.

Fans are already going after the voices

The reaction online has not exactly been glowing.

A chunk of the early social chatter is zeroing in on the voice acting from the leaked footage, with some viewers saying the new adult versions of the characters sound off.

Criticism was always likely to land harder because this movie is using a recast Team Avatar rather than bringing back the original animated voice cast, which had already been a sore spot for part of the fandom.
