Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already making history.
According to the trades, the first trailer pulled in 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours, making it the biggest movie trailer launch ever and the biggest trailer launch of any kind.
It blew past the previous movie record held by Deadpool & Wolverine, which brought in 365 million views, and it also passed Grand Theft Auto VI, which had set the broader video trailer mark with 475 million views.

Spider-Man Breaks Deadpool And Wolverine Record
The numbers are huge even by Marvel standards.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day had already reached 373 million views in just eight hours, which was enough to top the full 24-hour total for Deadpool & Wolverine.
Deadpool & Wolverine had previously beaten Spider-Man: No Way Home, whose trailer brought in 355.5 million views in 24 hours back in 2021.
That means Brand New Day did not just edge past the old record. It completely crushed it.
Bigger Than GTA 6
What makes the story even bigger is that this is not only the top movie trailer launch.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day also passed the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, which had reached 475 million views in 24 hours and was the overall record holder until now.
So this is now the biggest trailer launch in history, period.

Momentum Keeps Growing For Brand New Day
The record comes after Spider-Man: Brand New Day had already been building serious buzz with the teaser campaign and first-look footage.
Sony’s official synopsis says the movie picks up four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker now living entirely alone after erasing himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.
The studio also teases that the pressure of being a full-time Spider-Man sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence.
That setup, mixed with the trailer’s first looks at Tom Holland, Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, and the mystery around Sadie Sink’s role, clearly has fans paying attention.
