DC fans are already bracing for chaos as talk of the Warner Bros. Discovery sale heats up.
On a DC sub on Reddit, a lot of them aren’t even debating details anymore — they’re saying James Gunn’s DCU is finished with Paramount in control.
It was announced that Netflix walked away from their bid, leaving the path open for Paramount to purchase WBD.
DC fans are calling the DCU “over” if Paramount takes WBD
The big fear in the Reddit discussion isn’t just the sale itself. It’s what a new owner would do to James Gunn’s DCU once the dust settles.
User SDLRob has one of the most blunt comments: “How will it impact? It ends it … They’re not gonna let Gunn continue without meddling the heck out of what he creates…. And the first chance they get, they’ll sack him.”
And the replies immediately go to Gunn leaving first, just as we are speculating.
