HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television series has added a major name behind the scenes, with Hans Zimmer confirmed to compose the score alongside Bleeding Fingers Music.
Zimmer announced the news on social media, quoting Albus Dumbledore: “Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!”

Zimmer Comments on the Score
Zimmer will work with Bleeding Fingers composers Kara Talve and Anže Rozman on new music for the series.
In a joint statement, the composers addressed the legacy tied to the franchise and their approach to the project.
“The musical legacy of Harry Potter is a touch point for composers everywhere and we are humbled to join such a remarkable team on a project of this magnitude,” the statement reads. “The responsibility is something that myself, Kara Talve and Anže Rozman do not take lightly. With this score we hope to bring audiences a little closer to the magic while honoring what has come before.”
