Marvel Studios has officially dropped the Avengers: Doomsday X-Men teaser, confirming the long-rumored return of the Fox-era mutants.
The trailer marks the third in the series of character-focused teasers attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash, following the Steve Rogers and Thor trailers. Watch below.
The fourth has also leaked online.

Professor X and Magneto Return
The trailer shows Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as Magneto sitting across from each other playing chess in the ruins of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

The mansion is visibly aged and broken down, signaling a darker timeline or the aftermath of past events.

Cyclops Suits Up
James Marsden is also shown back as Cyclops, unleashing a full optic blast in what appears to be an updated take on the X-Men animated series suit, linking the Fox films to the animated series’ classic iconography.

The character is seen mid-battle in a fiery setting, delivering a more action-driven moment compared to the other teasers.

Trailer Ends With Return Tease
The teaser closes with a confirmation text card: “The X-Men will return in Avengers: Doomsday.”
That line reinforces Marvel’s positioning of the X-Men as central players in the multiversal team-up event, while also likely setting the stage for future mutant-focused projects beyond Doomsday.
Also officially announced to return from the Fox X-Men universe includes Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, Kelsey Grammer, and Channing Tatum back as Gambit from Deadpool & Wolverine.
