Charlie Cox has addressed the growing speculation that he’s reprising his role as Daredevil in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Cox Denies Spider-Man Rumors
Speaking on the Phase Hero Podcast, Cox pushed back against the recent reports connecting him to Tom Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man sequel.
“Well, I don’t read anything, so I don’t know [what fans are saying online],” Cox said. “I know that they all think I’m in Spider-Man because I’m filming something in London, which I’m not. I’m not in Spider-Man… I’m just concentrating on DD right now.”
The comments come after Cox canceled his SpaceCon San Antonio appearance, sparking fan speculation that he was filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the UK. That cancellation followed Jon Bernthal dropping out of New York Comic Con, leading many to believe both actors were tied to the same Marvel project.

Cox Focused On Daredevil
Cox confirmed he’s currently focused on filming Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+. The series’ Season 2 premieres March 2026, with Season 3 already greenlit.
