A new synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday has been released, giving fans a clearer look at what’s coming in Marvel’s next big crossover.
The description teases the arrival of Doctor Doom in the MCU, played by Robert Downey Jr., who is set to unleash a crisis across the multiverse:
“Doctor Doom has officially arrived on the Marvel Cinematic Universe stage. This villain, a master of cutting-edge science and powerful magic, will unleash a cascading crisis across the multiverse. Marvel’s most iconic character, Robert Downey Jr., also returns as Doctor Doom!”
The new synopsis comes out of a Disney and Marvel promotion out of China, which includes a first look at art of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
A Reboot Angle Already Teased
This follows the earlier promotional synopsis which hinted at Avengers: Doomsday marking a reboot for the MCU:
“The highly anticipated new Avengers movie, ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ will be released in one year.
