Peacemaker Season 2 premieres next week on HBO Max, and according to leaks and rumors, episodes will tackle the DCEU Justice League, and feature the DCU Captain Atom and Huntress.
That’s not all, as it is also claimed David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will become DCU canon.

James Gunn has already confirmed that John Cena’s Peacemaker dimension hops.
Justice Gang replaces Justice League
According to the “Ambush” account on X, posted in July: “In DCU’s canon, the Justice Gang was the team that appeared at the end of Peacemaker S1, instead of the Justice League. We will see a flashback of this moment in Peacemaker S2.”

The MyTimeToShine X account either saw the tweet, or is backing up the tweet, and says the same: “The first episode of Peacemaker Season 2 opens with ‘Previously in the DCU.’ It’s mostly all season 1 footage, but there are a couple of changes. Danielle Brooks’ character now talks about calling in the Justice Gang, and they reshot the Justice League cameo from the finale.”
The account added, “Now, it’s Mister Terrific, Superman, Green Lantern [Guy Gardner], Hawkgirl, and Supergirl (all but Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl are in shadow).”

The Ambush X account also previously tweeted: “Captain Atom will appear in PEACEMAKER S2.”

Pom Klementieff is Huntress
Another tweet from the account in May says: “Pom Klementieff will appear as Huntress in PEACEMAKER S2.” (She played Mantis in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies at Marvel.)

DCU Mister Miracle
Back in December of 2024, the account also tweeted a Mister Miracle movie is happening, which Tom King recently confirmed he is developing as an animated series:

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad “somewhat” canon
Regarding David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, MyTimeToShine also claims that Peacemaker Season 2 makes David Ayer’s Suicide Squad “somewhat canon.”
That could mean Will Smith’s Deadshot is now a part of the DCU, along with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn who Gunn featured in his The Suicide Squad movie. Robbie has also been rumored to be joining Gunn in the DCU.
Worth a mention is that Viola Davis also played Amanda Waller, and is DCU canon.
It’s safe to say Jared Leto’s Joker won’t be DCU canon. Reportedly, Peacemaker Season 2 crack’s a joke about Leto’s band, 30 Seconds To Mars.
