Predator: Badlands is the latest film in the Predator franchise, directed by Prey filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg. The new trailer reveals a future-set story on a remote planet, with Elle Fanning starring as Thia, a synethetic who teams up with a young, exiled Predator played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi.
New Setting, New Predator
The film takes place in the future, far from Earth. Schuster-Koloamatangi plays a young Predator outcast from his clan. Seeking an ultimate opponent to prove himself, he crosses paths with Thia (Fanning), and the two form an uneasy alliance.
The trailer frames the planet as the “most dangerous in the universe,” with a threat that “can’t be killed.” Thia warns the young Predator, “Here, you’re not the predator. You’re the prey.” The dialogue sets the tone for a survival-driven story with a twist on the traditional hunter dynamic.
