As expected, Jurassic World: Rebirth is estimated to have the worst opening of the franchise.
The flick won’t have any IMAX screenings, and the Rotten Tomatoes Score is really bad, now having dropped to 53%.

What are the estimates?
The estimates haven’t changed much from a couple of weeks ago.
Jurassic World: Rebirth is currently estimated to open to only $120M-$130M for the FIVE-DAY holiday weekend.
Its 3-day estimate is around $80M.
Worth pointing out is that the shill trades sites like Deadline are reporting on the GLOBAL numbers instead of the domestic, which makes things sound a lot better. However, don’t be fooled. When they report on the global numbers instead of domestic, it’s a sure sign the flick is in trouble.
As I mentioned two weeks ago:
- Jurassic World (2015) opened to over $208 million in 3 DAYS, which in today’s dollars is over $283 million.
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) opened to $148 million over 3 DAYS, which in today’s dollars is over $189M.
- Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) opened to $145 million in 3 DAYS.
Don’t fall for the BS
So Jurassic World: Rebirth in 5 DAYS won’t even come close to those 3 DAY numbers.
See how the shill sites spin things? They also don’t use inflation to make it look like present-day movies are more of a success than they are compared to their past counterparts.
The Jurassic World: Rebirth budget is also reported to be a whopping $225 million, which means Jurassic World: Rebirth will need to get to $675 million just to break even.
What happened?
It looks like Universal rushed Jurassic World: Rebirth to get it out as a summer release.
The script is by David Koepp, who wrote the first Jurassic Park, but it’s really, really bad. Gareth Edwards directs, but things fall flat, especially with that D-Rex ending. Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali also fall really flat.
