A tweet is going viral on X with nearly a million views that says “Paul” is Marvel’s all-new all-different Venom.
The All-New Venom was recently launched in December, and the third issue was released just last week. Apparently, there is a big mystery regarding the identity of who is hosting the symbiote. I thought it was Luke Cage, but apparently, it just might be this Paul guy, a character who Spider-Man fans have come to loathe.

Release: May 7th
All-New Venom #6 solicit
Marvel Comics has released the cover and solicit info for All-New Venom #6 which includes the cover showing Venom confronting Mary Jane who apparently now has super powers and goes by the name Jackpot. The description of the issue teases the identity reveal, and that MJ might not like what she finds out about who the new Venom really is:
“THE ORIGIN OF THE ALL-NEW VENOM!
Now we know WHO the All-New Venom is…the question is HOW? What happened after the events of the Venom War? Why did the symbiote choose this host – and why can’t they separate? Jackpot confronts Venom – and she may not like what she finds out!” .

The new Venom is f-cking Paul
X user Worm on X thinks it’s Paul and is none too happy.
“It’s him. The new Venom is f-cking Paul,” tweeted the account. “I’m actually going to hurt somebody.”
The account followed up with more tweets revealing their huge disappointment.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been this angry in my life,” said the account. “I swear to god if any of you buy this comic, even you variant collectors, there’s gonna be an issue.”
X user Worm continued, “I should add that I’m not that angry. I’m just playing things up cause it’s funny. I am, however, quite concerned. This is an obvious attempt by Marvel editorial to entrap Venom comics into a modern ASM-esque hell. It’s up to you, but I would advise you not to buy this comic.”
The user added, “I want editorial to know that this unbelievably lame cycle of rage-baiting fans and enticing them into chasing the chance for an old dynamic to return like they’ve been doing with Spider-Man for the past few years isn’t gonna fly with symbiote comics. I want this to flop.”
The comments to the above tweet feature like-minded fans who also aren’t happy that Venom could be Paul, and they don’t like the character (X user Worm is right! vote with your wallets, folks!). Check out the reactions below.
It’s him. The new Venom is fucking Paul.

Who is Paul?
Paul is a character introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man (Volume 6), written by Zeb Wells. He was abruptly introduced as Mary Jane Watson’s new partner, after a six-month time skip that left Peter Parker estranged from his friends and family.
Paul initially appeared as a vague and mysterious figure, frustrating fans due to his lack of backstory and sudden importance. Over time, it was revealed that he was the son of Benjamin Rabin, a villain associated with Mayan mysticism, and that he had been trapped in an alternate hell-like dimension with MJ, where they took care of two children—who were later revealed to be illusions created by Rabin.
Paul became a symbol of editorial interference for Spider-Man fans, as he represented another forced separation between Peter and MJ, something Marvel had been pushing since One More Day erased their marriage from continuity. Fans viewed him as a shallow plot device rather than a fully fleshed-out character, leading to widespread frustration and memes mocking his existence.

At this point, I'm willing to bet they're gonna resurrect Uncle Ben next and make him into the new Venom

Marvel Comics REALLY need a new 52 style reboot. As in start back at 0. Too much bloat as of now
