James Gunn Praises David Corenswet’s Superman: 'He’s Incredible'

DC Studios co-head James Gunn is setting the stage for a bold new era of Superman, and he’s confident David Corenswet is the perfect actor for the job.

Gunn, who wrote and directed the upcoming Superman movie, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter while promoting Creature Commandos and shared high praise for the 31-year-old actor stepping into the iconic role.

“I feel great. Superman is an enormous bear of a movie. It’s completely different from this show in every way, but it’s very much fantastic as well,” Gunn said, referring to the animated Creature Commandos series.

He continued:

“Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, David Corenswet is going to freak everyone out with how great he is. He is one of the best actors I’ve ever worked with, and he can do everything. The man is incredible.”
