British actor Ralph Ineson will be the MCU’s Galactus in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie from Marvel Studios.
While there were rumors the role was going to Javier Barden or Antonio Banderas, Marvel went with Ralph Ineson who is known for a plethora of Hollywood roles including most recently The First Omen and The Creator, as well as The Northman, The Witch, The Green Knight, Harry Potter, and Ineson also played a Ravager Pilot for James Gunn in Guardians of the Galaxy.
According to THR, “Ineson is said to be playing Galactus, an intergalactic being who eats the life force of planets. And now he just picked the wrong planet to nosh on.”
The actor joins the recent cast additions which includes John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser in unknown roles.
Playing the Herald of Galactus is Julia Garner as the female Silver Surfer.
Ineson confirmed the casting on social media.

Starring in the movie is Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).
The writers that have contributed to the script include Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer, with Peter Cameron (WandaVision) also having done some writing on the project. Kevin Feige is producing.
Matt Shakman directs; Fantastic Four gets released on July 25, 2025 and is said to start filming in England in mid-summer.
