Director Todd Phillips celebrates Valentine’s Day by releasing three new images from Joker 2 featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
“Hoping your day is full of love. 10.4.24,” posted Phillips on Instagram.
The images feature a look at Joaquin Phoenix as both Arthur Fleck and Joker, and Lady Gaga as both Harleen Frances Quinzel and Harley Quinn.
A musical?
Rumors surrounding the sequel offer Joker 2 may be a musical, or possibly some of the Lady Gaga scenes will feature a musical aspect, but nothing official has been announced.
Joker: Folie à Deux gets released on October 4, 2024, and Zazie Beetz is also returning as Sophie Dumond.
No official plot synopsis has been released, but the term “Folie à Deux” refers to a French term for a medical condition involving “madness for two.”
It’s guessed the sequel deals with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, a female version of Joker who is just as crazy and dark as the Joaquin Phoenix version, which is suggested by set images and video.
