While at the Golden Globes on Sunday, new Lois Lane Rachel Brosnahan spoke about the new Superman: Legacy movie which also stars David Corenswet and is directed by James Gunn.
Brosnahan confirmed she is playing Lois and was asked what she is going to bring to the role that we haven’t seen.
“We’ve been having a lot of great conversations, David and I, with James Gunn, the director,” Brosnahan told Extra. “We’ve been talking a lot about where this project fits into the canon of the Supermans that we know. So hopefully, this will be… we’ll be putting our own stamp on things.”
Brosnahan was also asked if Lois will be wearing glasses.
“I don’t know, actually. Maybe. We haven’t gotten that far in the fittings yet,” she said.

Lois Lane is the fearless one
Actress Phoebe Dynevor also recently revealed she was in the final round of contenders to play Lois Lane, which ended up going to Rachel Brosnahan and revealed details about the movie.
“It was a whirlwind and then I realized that it was over, but it was great,” she filled in said, explaining that Lois Lane is the type of role she wants to play. “She saves Superman. She’s the brains; she’s actually the fearless one.”
Also starring in the movie includes Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, and Edi Gathegi playing Mister Terrific. María Gabriela de Faría is also playing The Engineer from The Authority described as a “villain,” with Anthony Carrigan cast as Metamorpho. Skyler Gisondo is Jimmy Olsen, and Sara Sampaio is Eve Teschmacher. Nicholas Hoult is Lex Luthor. Sean Gunn is playing Maxwell Lord in the DCU, though it’s not clear if he will be in Superman: Legacy. It’s also rumored Supergirl will appear in the film prior to her own solo movie.
Superman: Legacy will be released on July 11, 2025.
