Zack Snyder’s big sci-fi movie Rebel Moon said to be his Star Wars is currently crashing big time on Rotten Tomatoes.
If the score holds it will be the worst score of Snyder’s career – lower than Sucker Punch – and as I tweeted, it looks like Snyder might have another Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, and Army of the Dead on his hands — meaning fans will either love it or hate it.
Though still early, Rebel Moon has a 17% Rotten Tomatoes Score with the first batch of 24 reviews hitting the aggregate site. All of the “Top Critics” gave the film a “Rotten” review as well.
Friday 12/16 update: Score is now 24% with 42 reviews; Audience Score is 71% with 500+ ratings.

Snyder’s Rotten Tomatoes scores
As I previously went over, the flick is getting mixed reactions and reviews online. Some are stating it’s the best thing since sliced bread but others are offering it’s disappointing.
Again, it seems Rebel Moon is your typical Zack Snyder movie, which means if you are going to like it, it likely depends if you are a fan of Snyder or not.
Also, keep in mind the critics haven’t been too nice to Snyder. Dawn of the Dead has a 75% Rotten Tomatoes Score; 300 61%; Watchmen 65%; Guardians of Ga’Hoole 52%; Sucker Punch 22%; Man of Steel 56%; Batman v Superman 29%; Zack Snyder’s Justice League 72%, and Army of the Dead 67%.
The Audience Scores? They’re not high, either, save for 300 at 89% and Zack Snyder’s Justice League at 93%: Dawn of the Dead 77%; Watchmen 71%; Sucker Punch 47%; Man of Steel 75%; Batman v Superman 63%; and Army of the Dead 75%.

Rebel Moon is not a complete disaster, and Snyder diehards will no doubt forgive its (glaring) issues, but those who tend to dismiss his work as style over substance are going to feel validated after watching this pretty mess of a movie. – CBM
