The Batman: Part II First Set Footage Reveals Gotham Police Scene In Liverpool

The Batman: Part II is officially rolling cameras, and the first set images and video have surfaced online.

Footage posted on TikTok shows filming taking place at Queensway Tunnel in Liverpool, with the location being used for Gotham City.

The video is labeled as the first day of filming and shows crew members working around Gotham Police cars, camera rigs, and a tunnel closure.

The new footage follows Matt Reeves officially announcing the cast for the sequel.

The leaked set video shows a Gotham Police cruiser parked outside the Queensway Tunnel entrance in Liverpool.

Additional shots show a Gotham Police car inside the tunnel, with the road marked “Tunnel Closed” while production crew members work nearby.

Camera rigs can also be seen attached to vehicles, including what looks like a chase or driving sequence being filmed through the tunnel.

One of the Gotham Police vehicles has visible damage to the windshield and roof, suggesting the scene could involve an accident, pursuit, or aftermath of an action sequence.

Robert Pattinson’s stunt double, said to be Rick English, can also be scene riding on top one of the cruisers.

First Look Follows Matt Reeves Batman Tease

The set footage comes shortly after Reeves started teasing the sequel again on social media.

Last week, Reeves shared early camera test images of the Batmobile with the caption “snow tires,” which quickly fueled fan speculation about a winter-set Gotham and a possible Mr. Freeze connection.

The Batman: Part II gets released October 1, 2027.

Matt Reeves returns to direct and co-wrote the script with Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson is back as Bruce Wayne / Batman, with the sequel expected to continue the grounded Gotham crime saga launched in The Batman and expanded through The Penguin.

Reeves recently confirmed several returning cast members through posts on X, including Jeffrey Wright as Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, and Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez.

Reeves has also confirmed new additions Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, and Charles Dance. Johansson is said to be playing Gilda Dent, with Stan as Harvey Dent and Dance as Christopher Dent.

Sebastian Koch has also been announced in an undisclosed role, while Brian Tyree Henry has joined the cast.
