35,000 Fans Sign Petition To Bring Back Beth On The Walking Dead

The mid-season finale of The Walking Dead saw the shocking death of Beth, played by Emily Kinney.

Now fans have started a petition on Change.org to bring the character back to the series, which has already amassed about 35,000 signatures.

Beth was shot in the head, which sort of leaves no doubt that: a) the character is dead, and: b) Beth will not be coming back as a zombie.

However, as it is a fictional universe, all things are potentially possible.

Interestingly enough, a similar moment happened in the comics to a favorite character thought to be dead due to a gun shot to the head/eye area, but series creator Robert Kirkman tossed death accusations aside by stating the artist just really got involved with his work.

The Bring Back Beth petitions reads in part: “Her death was far too soon and the writers threw away the potential of a perfectly good character. Her story wasn’t over. Emily Kinney and her character don’t deserve this.”

“The Walking Dead” airs Sundays at 9pm ET on AMC and returns in February.
