Zack Snyder is once again fueling fan speculation, but this time, it’s not with behind-the-scenes DCEU shots.
The filmmaker posted new images to Instagram showcasing his visit with billionaire Ayman Hariri, revealing jaw-dropping photos of some of the rarest comics ever printed, including Action Comics #1, Superman #1, Batman #1, and Marvel Comics #1.
“Some days don’t feel real. Hanging with my buddy Ayman Hariri—his comic collection is beyond. Action Comics #1. 🤯 Catch him on VERO,” Snyder wrote.
The post comes amid Snyder’s recent string of DCEU throwbacks and teases, and this one is no less attention-grabbing. Though this isn’t Snyder’s collection, the fact that he’s holding the crown jewels of DC’s Golden Age — and casually name-dropping VERO and Hariri — has fans buzzing.
Who is Ayman Hariri?
Ayman Hariri is a billionaire businessman and co‑founder of the social media platform VERO. Ayman Hariri also happens to have Saudi heritage. He is the son of Rafic Hariri, the former Prime Minister of Lebanon, and his family has strong ties to Saudi Arabia. Ayman himself was previously involved in the Saudi construction conglomerate Saudi Oger, which was owned by his family.

Action Comics #1, Batman #1, and More
In the photos Snyder is seen holding CGC-graded copies of Action Comics #1 and Superman #1.
A pristine Batman #1 is shown in protective casing.
A 9.2 graded Marvel Comics #1 — featuring the first appearance of the original Human Torch and Namor the Submarinier — is also visible.
Additional high-grade copies of Action Comics #10 and Superman #1 are seen lined up on Hariri’s couch
These comics aren’t just rare, they’re worth millions. A CGC 9.0 copy of Action Comics #1 sold for $3.2 million in 2022. A similar quality Batman #1 could go for $1–2 million.

Fan Speculation Continues
While Snyder didn’t tease any new DC project directly, fans are reading between the panels.
His recent activity — including Leica shots of Cavill’s Superman, Ezra Miller as Flash, Affleck’s Batman, and even The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel on his shelf — has some wondering if Netflix or Paramount’s potential purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery could lead to a SnyderVerse revival.
