Zack Snyder isn’t slowing down. Fresh off wrapping production on his new movie The Last Photograph, the director has shared another behind-the-scenes image, this time of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman.

Jason Momoa is Aquaman
“I took this photo of @prideofgypsies in Iceland,” Snyder wrote on Instagram, posting the shot of Momoa standing in a rugged landscape, likely from the time they filmed Justice League.
The image adds to Snyder’s recent streak of sharing new photos from his DCEU era. Over the past week, he’s posted never-before-seen shots of Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, Jared Leto’s Joker, and now Aquaman, seemingly revisiting each member of the Justice League.
The Last Photograph wraps
Earlier, Snyder confirmed The Last Photograph has wrapped filming, saying, “That’s a wrap on principal photography for The Last Photograph. Huge thanks to everyone who worked on the film — my incredible Icelandic, Colombian, and American crew. You are amazing. I’d go into battle with you anytime.”
The Last Photograph follows an ex-DEA agent searching the South American mountains for his murdered diplomat siblings’ children. He’s aided by a junkie photographer who witnessed the killers, and together they confront past demons as reality blurs in the remote wilderness.

Snyder won’t let fans forget his DCEU
Snyder’s run of DCEU images has fans speculating that the director might be teasing something ahead — especially as Netflix, his creative home for the past few years, is reportedly exploring a potential purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery.
Jason Momoa is also returning as Lobo in the upcoming Supergirl movie for James Gunn’s DCU. We’ve been told they liked Momoa as Lobo so much that they added more of him into Supergirl.
Supergirl gets released on June 26, 2026.
