White People Are Most Dangerous Animals In 'The American Society Of Magical Negroes' Trailer

The new movie from Focus Features, The American Society Of Magical Negroes, released the trailer where white people are the most dangerous animals on the planet.

Scratch that — it’s white men because the lead character wants to date a white woman.

Imagine if this was released but the story was the opposite?

Anyway, The American Society Of Magical Negroes is also about a secret society of Black people who have magic and apparently it’s there mission to keep white people happy, because a happy white person who is uncomfortable means a lot of bad things for Black people.

The twist is that the newly recruited black dude becomes friends with a white dude and then they both like the same white woman. So what is the black dude going to do whose job it is to keep the white dude happy? Because if he doesn’t keep the white dude happy, the white dude will be uncomfortable which of course means bad things for Black people.

The film is directed and written by Kobi Libii in which The American Society Of Magical Negroes apparently is his first writing and directing gig. He’s also an actor known for Alpha House, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Madam Secretary, Doubt, Alice in Somnia, We Broke Up, and The Hater.

Starring includes Justice Smith, David Alan Grier, Drew Tarver, and Michaela Watkins.
