Are Daredevil Fight Scenes Too Over-The-Top? Watch A Scene

Check out a big fight scene above from Marvel’s Daredevil.

The series has been getting a lot of acclaim and rave reviews for the fight scenes, but honestly, I find them a little overboard.

Yeah, I get it that DD has super powers, but the guys he is hitting do not. 

Case in point, we see DD take out all the guys above, and then they get up for round two (or three or four). It’s just not realistic. Daredevil smashes a guy in the face with a metal gun, and the guy gets up? Not gonna happen.

I do get it’s a fictional series, but for the approach they are going with – dark and gritty – a lot of the fights are just too much. It needs to be toned down just a bit, IMO.

Update: Marvel has officially unveiled the red suit with a teaser that can be watched above.

 

We may have our first look at the red Daredevil costume as an image has reportedly leaked online via Netflix.

Apparently Netflix is showing a different thumbnail image for Daredevil to users in different countries revealing the following image.

It’s unclear if this is the final look of the red costume or simply a concept image Marvel provided for Netflix.

ARROW’S FELICITY SMOAK (EMILY BETT RICKARDS) AND RAY PALMER (BRANDON ROUTH) ARRIVE IN CENTRAL CITY; EMILY KINNEY (“The Walking Dead”) GUETS STARS AS BRIE LARVIN — Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu (#118).

Watch: Falling Skies WonderCon Season 5 Teaser Trailer

Check out the teaser trailer above to the fifth and final season of Falling Skies.

Season 5 premiers Sunday, June 28th at 10pm ET on TNT.

From executive producer Steven Spielberg, Falling Skies stars Noah Wyle as a former college professor who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. 

Moon Bloodgood co-stars as Anne Glass, a pediatrician who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation. The series also stars Drew Roy as Hal and Maxim Knight as Matt, Tom’s two sons; and Seychelle Gabriel as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group’s commissary.
