Watch: Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles Episode 3 With Wonder Woman

Watch episode three, “big,” above to the Machinima Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles digital series which features Wonder Woman saving Steve Trevor from a massive threat.

Info:

From visionary producer and animator Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series), Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles turns the DC Universe upside-down. New Hero Coming To The Flash Season 2

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20656:]]

A report is stating a new hero is coming to The Flash Season 2.

TV Line has it The Flash is casting a “season-long role of a classically handsome, square-jawed hero in his 30s to early 40s, a slightly cynical man ‘with an edge.’ “

It’s noted the casting call lists the character as “John Clark,” which they state is a nod to the DC Comics letterer of the same name and suggest the hero may be a character the letterer has worked on.

One character already hinted at in The Flash that DC Comics letterer John Clark has worked on is Jay Garrick (The Flash season finale featured Jay Garrick’s helmet).

Other potential characters may include Hawkman (especially considering Hawkgirl is a part of the spinoff DC Legends Of Tomorrow); Doctor Fate, Hourman (series has been said to be in development at the CW), and maybe Green Lantern.

TV Line also reported Barry will get a new love interest in Season 2 described as:

…a major recurring role of Wendy, a “spunky, fun and funny” romantic interest

• A cop for the Central City PD, Wendy is described as bright and scientific-minded — more specifically, “Think ‘Felicity Smoak’ from Arrow,”

Matt Ryan Disappointed Constantine Isn’t Returning

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20925:]]

Following the news that Constantine won’t be picked up by another network – signaling the show’s demise – series lead Matt Ryan has taken to Twitter to voice his disappointment and thank fans.

“Very disappointed that we are not continuing this journey, will miss playing john. You guys never gave up, I thank you all,” tweeted Ryan.

Showrunner Daniel Cerone announced a couple of days ago that following NBC’s decision to not move forward with Season 2, that no other network had picked up Constantine.

“The cast and writers of Constantine are being released from their contracts,” Cerone said in part a previous statement. “The studio tried to find a new home for the show, for which we’re forever grateful, but those efforts didn’t pan out.”

NBC executives previously cited live ratings as the reason for cancelling Constantine; however, the ratings were higher than most of the DC shows on the CW, but as to why Constantine didn’t end up on the CW network is unknown. Likewise, Constantine could have found a new home on NBC’s sister network, SyFy, but it’s also unknown why that didn’t happen.

Perhaps with Constantine now officially over, details as to how the series was going to move forward will become known as Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger. A few scripts from additional Season 1 episodes of Constantine also exist that didn’t get a chance to air, which were going to be spun into Season 2. At one time, it was even said plans for a Spectre spinoff were being talked about.

Constantine Officially Over

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20895:]]

Constantine is officially cancelled.

Following NBC not renewing the series for a second season, showrunner Daniel Cerone released the following statement that states no other network has picked up Constantine.

I promised I’d share news when I had it — sadly, that news is not good. The cast and writers of Constantine are being released from their contracts. The studio tried to find a new home for the show, for which we’re forever grateful, but those efforts didn’t pan out. I’m sorry, I wasn’t provided any information on the attempts to sell the show elsewhere. All I can report is that the show is over.

Many ingredients went into this TV series. From the dedicated cast that breathed these characters to life, led by Matt Ryan as the comic-made-flesh embodiment of John Constantine, to the exceptionality talented crew that put unreal images on screen, to the original Hellblazer writers and artists who gifted us a universe.

As a general principle, writers don’t choose a writing career to achieve stardom. Whatever demons or insecurities drove them to find freedom of expression through written words generally keeps writers comfortably obscure behind their words. Nor do people choose writing as a means to financial freedom. I’d venture to guess that most who set out to write professionally never receive a paycheck for their hopeful scribbles or key strokes.

In fact, nobody I know ever chose a writing career — it chose them. You write because that’s what you do. Like breathing, it just happens and you have to do it and you just hope that someday somebody out there notices what you’re trying to say.

If that’s the dream of writers, than the writers of Constantine lived the dream, because we’re leaving behind wild and passionate fans who believe in and were moved by what we tried to do. To leave such a significant, dedicated and active fan base on the table — that’s the real sadness. You all deserve many years of the series we set out to make, and we’re disappointed that we couldn’t deliver that to you. The good news is that Constantine will live on for years in many more forms. But our time as caretakers has ended.

Thank you for letting us in.

Daniel Cerone

Jason Statham Rumored For Bullseye In Daredevil Season 2

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20881:]]

Update: Marvel TV is stating there is no truth to the rumor of Jason Statham.

Update #2: Jason Statham has no ambition for comic book movies and says Marvel isn’t authentic.

It’s rumored that Jason Statham is being eyed by Marvel to play Bullseye in Season 2 of the Daredevil Netflix series.

According to Latino Review, Statham has even took a meeting with Marvel, and at one time, Statham was in talks for a DD movie reboot over at Fox.

The same report also mentions potential villains for Daredevil Season 2 with Mr. Fear, Elektra (seemingly already confirmed) – and get this – Spider-Man villain Mysterio.

It would be rather interesting to have Statham featured on the Netflix series as he is a pretty big-named action star. The quesion is: Is Statham too big?

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in devlopment and will be released in 2016.

Watch: Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles Trailer With Bruce Timm Intro

The animated digital series Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles will be available June 8th.

Machinima released the above trailer with an intro by Bruce Timm.

Season 2 is currently in development.

Synopsis:

From visionary producer and animator Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series), Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles turns the DC Universe upside-down. In this dark, alternate world, telling the good guys from the bad guys is never easy: Superman is not the son of Jor-El, he’s the son of General Zod; Wonder Woman is not from peaceful Themyscira, but rather the warring nation of Ares; and Batman is more vampire-bat than man…and he’s not Bruce Wayne. It is unclear if our greatest heroes are here to protect us…or to rule us. With Season 1 set to launch in June, Machinima, Blue Ribbon Content and DC Entertainment have already begun development on Season 2, a 10-episode follow-up to the initial limited series.

The Justice League: Gods and Monsters animated movie will also be available July 28th.

Gotham tells the story of the world’s most iconic DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes from the very beginning, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told.
