First look at Bran Stark In Game Of Thrones Season 6

Game Of Thrones Season 6 Teaser

Absent from Season 5, we now get a first look at Bran Stark in Game of Thrones Season 6.

EW.com debuted the images along with actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright (who has a new hair cut and has grown to 6 feet tall) offering:

“When I first heard the news Dan and David wanted to have a chat with me, I was like, ‘Oh no!’ ”recalls Hempstead-Wright, who has grown to nearly six feet and cut his hair much shorter since we last saw him completing his journey north to meet the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven. “Usually that’s to tell you [your character is] dead. So comparatively, missing a season was like, ‘phew!’

On Max von Sydow playing the Three-Eyed Raven:

“There are certain lines that you think are almost fillers, like, ‘He’s over there,’ but when Max von Sydow says them, he can make it sound like it’s the most important news you’ve ever heard.”

On what’s to come for Bran:

“Previously Bran’s seen tiny glimpses of future or past but never has he been very much in control in the situation. Now we’re given looks into very important events in the past, present and future of this world and Bran is beginning to piece them together like a detective, almost as if he’s watching the show. Equally, he’s now discovering how crucial he could be in the Great War. It’s quite Inception-y.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 6 airs in April on HBO.

Daredevil Season 2 Images Feature Jon Bernthal as Punisher, Elodie Yung as Elecktra & More

Daredevil NYCC Sizzle

Check out first look images at Season 2 of Daredevil which includes Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, and Elodie Yung as Elektra.

Regarding Punisher, Bernthal told EW.com:

”People have been coming up to me on the streets of New York saying, ‘Do not mess this up. This character has resonated with law enforcement and military. He’s brought the war home with him in the worst possible way. And the best thing about him is that if he offends you, he just doesn’t care.”

Regarding Elektra, showrunner Doug Petrie said:

“Matt’s a deeply moral complicated guy and she’s just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have. She does everything wrong and attractive, she’s his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He’s both repulsed and deeply drawn to that.”

Daredevil Season 2 is said to premier on Netflix in March 2016 and stars Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear.

Arrow’s Stephen Amell Wins WWE Slammy; Wrestlemania Rematch Likely?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23437:]]

Arrow‘s Stephen Amell has won a WWE Slammy for his match against Cody “Stardust” Rhodes at SummerSlam.

Last night saw the WWE announce their annual Slammy Awards, which is the wrestling equivalent of the Oscars.

Amell faced tough competition taking on the likes of the cast of Entourage introducing Zack Ryder; Kevin Owens powerbombing Machine Gun Kelly off the stage; Jon Stewart’s involvement in John Cena’s match at SummerSlam, and Wayne Rooney slapping King Barrett on Raw.

However, it was Amell who came out on top once again.

Stephen Amell and Cody Rhodes were feuding for a while prior to the SummerSlam match as they both often took to social networks to call each other out. Amell also appared on RAW, and Rhodes made fun of the Green Arrow during his matches.

When it came down to it, Amell landed a finishing blow on Rhodes off the top rope for the win at their SummerSlam match.

Their feud doesn’t look to be over – which may mean a Wrestlemania rematch – as Stardust stole Amell’s Slammy. Amell posted the following video on Facebook stating his “response is forthcoming” as Stardust called the Arrow out, “You know where to find me.” You can also check out more highlights below from their feud.

ABC Airing Captain America Special Before Agent Carter Premiere

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23387:]]

ABC has announced that a one hour special, Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years, will air on Tuesday, January 19th at 8pm ET, which will be followed by the Season 2 premiere of Agent Carter.

ABC Celebrates Iconic Hero in the Original Special “Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years,” January 19

CAPTAIN AMERICA TURNS 75!

CELEBRATE ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST ICONIC HEROES IN THE ORIGINAL SPECIAL “MARVEL’S CAPTAIN AMERICA: 75 HEROIC YEARS,” JANUARY 19 ON ABC

From his first appearance in 1941 through the 75 years that would follow, Captain America has been one of, if not the most, influential comic book characters ever to be created. Take a look back at the history of this beloved Marvel character and see how his influence continues to have impact today in the original special “Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years,” airing TUESDAY, JANUARY 19 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.

New York, 1940. A new era on the horizon. Little did the world know then that this decade would shape the course of history in ways never before seen. But two men, who walked those New York streets, a pair of artists and creators, had a strong feeling of what was to come. They were Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, two first-generation Jewish-Americans who believed in their country, believed that the atrocities taking place in Europe needed to be answered, and most importantly, they believed in freedom. And it was an image of freedom that they would create…

Captain America has been the moral compass that has inspired generations to do better and believe in more than themselves. Whether it be leading The Avengers or fighting for his beliefs, even when it meant taking sides against those closest to him during Marvel’s Civil War, “Cap” has been a beacon of light in the Marvel Universe and a central figure in the vast and dynamic world that Marvel fans know and celebrate today.

This special, one-hour event follows the history of Captain America from 1941 to present and explores how the character has been a reflection of the changing times and the world he has existed in throughout the years. Fans will hear from various Marvel luminaries including Stan Lee, Joe Quesada, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Jeph Loeb, Louis D’Esposito, Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell, as well as family members of Cap’s creators. “Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years” will also unveil an exclusive announcement from Marvel Comics.

“Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years” is directed by Zak Knutson and produced by Bow and Arrow Entertainment. Executive producers on the project include Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory, John Cerilli. Harry Go, Matthew Perniciaro, Michael Sherman and Matthew Mandarino. The special will be broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to the airdate.

Stephen Amell Open To Marvel; How About Nova?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23331:]]

Stephen Amell more than likely won’t be featured on the big screen along side Batman and Superman, which is a shame as Amell has been the face of DC for the past few years.

While DC might have missed the boat, how about Marvel?

In Stephen Amell’s latest Facebook video, the actor offers he would consider doing a Marvel role and even says he wouldn’t turn it down.

“Sure, why not?  I’m up for roles – movie roles – although I’ve never really read Marvel Comics, and I was always a DC guy even before I was a DC guy. But it’s not like if I got offered an awesome Marvel superhero, I’d be like ‘No, I can’t.'”

Just off the top of my head, Richard Rider Nova came to mind. With James Gunn launching the Marve Cosmic side of things with Guardians of the Galaxy, how about Stephen Amell playing Nova? Nova actually helped launch the Guardians of the Galaxy comic as the character was featured in the stellar Marvel Cosmic event back in 2005/6 with the fan-favorite Annihilation story. Marvel Comics followed that up with the 2007 Nova comic, which then saw another Annihilation event and Guardians of the Galaxy.

I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Marvel put out a more serious Nova movie (than Guardians) directed by someone like Ridley Scott, Matt Reeves, Joseph Kosinksi or Rupert Wyatt. Maybe even JJ Abrams?

Amell talks Marvel at around the 7-minute mark below.

Stephen Amell stars in “Arrow” and will be featured in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” as Casey Jones.
