Transformers Cyberverse Trailer

Transformers Cyberverse Trailer

Cartoon Network releases the trailer for their new Transformers Cyberverse animated series as well as the premiere date and schedule, which airs September 1st.

The designs for the new series are based on the G1 cartoon from the ’80s that started it all.

“When we were designing the look and feel of Transformers: Cyberverse, we were inspired by the classic clean appearance of the original G1-style,” Tom Warner, Senior VP for the Transformers franchise at Hasbro, which is producing the series, told EW.com. “This was the design we initially fell in love with in the ‘80s and it felt like the perfect fit for this new origin story.”

The plot for the series follows Bumblebee, who gets his own movie this December.

Bumblebee is on a critical mission, but his memory chips are damaged and he has to recover details of his past experiences on Cybertron. Only by uncovering his actions on his mechanical homeworld can he figure out what his purpose is on Earth. Meanwhile, the Decepticons are also closing in on him.

The voice cast for the Autobots includes Jeremy Levy as Bumblebee, Jake Tillman as Optimus Prime, Ryan Andes as the dinobot Grimlock, with Sophia Isabella as Windblade, who is helping Bumblebee unlock his damaged memory bank.

For the Decepticons, Marc Thopson voices Megatron, Billy Bob Thompson is Starscream, Ryan Andes also voices Shockwave, and Deanna McGovern is Shadowstriker.

Check out early preview of the first episode on the CN app starting Monday, with new episodes airing every Saturday morning.
