Toxic Avenger First Look: Peter Dinklage

Check out a first look at the new Toxic Avenger remake starring Peter Dinklage as the titular character.

Legendary Pictures released an image of Peter Dinklage, known for Game of Thrones, as Winston Gooze, aka Toxie, with the film described as: “A horrible toxic accident transforms downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze into a new evolution of hero: THE TOXIC AVENGER! Now wielding a glowing mop with super-human strength, he must race against time to save his son and stop a ruthless and power-hungry tyrant bent on harnessing toxic superpowers to strengthen his polluted empire.”

IMDb also describes the flick as: “When a meek father takes drastic measures to provide for his family, he is accidentally transformed into a hideous mutant.”

It’s also known that Jacob Tremblay plays Winston’s son, and also starring in The Toxic Avenger includes Kevin Bacon, Julia Davis, Taylour Paige, Sarah Niles, Julian Kostov, Elijah Wood, Jane Levy, and Macon Blair, who also wrote and directed the film.

The movie is a reboot of the classic 1984 film that spawned three sequels from Lloyd Kaufman and Troma Films where James Gunn got his start.

The Toxic Avenger will make its premiere at the upcoming Fantastic Fest which runs Sept. 21-28 in Austin Texas. You can buy tickets here.
