Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki for November’s Thor: Ragnarok where Marvel.com catches up with the actor revealing an inside look at the thoughts of Loki regarding Cate Blanchett’s Hela.
“The goddess of death shows up and the stakes are high, for everybody,” Tom Hiddleston tells Marvel.com. “Loki perhaps more than ever, is challenged to define himself in the face of that threat.”
While Hela is a threat, Tom Hiddleston does offer up that Loki and Hela do have things in common.
“It’s about them recognizing each other; recognizing that we prefer anarchy to order; recognizing that chaos is more fun, if a little exhausting; recognizing the aesthetic value of green capes,” Tom Hiddleston said regarding the dynamic between Loki and Hela. “The inimitable elegances of a headdress—if you’re gonna be bad, you might as well be bad with style.”
Regarding Loki teaming with Thor, Tom Hiddleston didn’t offer much, but teased the following.
“The two of them are placed in such an extraordinary situation where everything is unfamiliar; that their familiarity, literally, as family members becomes important,” Hiddleston said.
