Prior to Thursday’s big three episode Season 4 premiere, showrunner Eric Kripke confirms Season 5 will be the last for The Boys.

“Season 5 will be the Final Season!,” Kripke tweeted. “Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!”

Back in 2020, since Kripke’s Supernatural lasted 15 seasons, he was asked how many seasons did he think The Boys would have, which at the time he didn’t bank on but said five.

The Boys kicked off with Season 1 on July 26, 2019.
