Hugh Jackman will be reprising one last time as Logan for the upcoming untitled sequel to The Wolverine.
A couple of weeks ago saw Jackman take to his social networks to ask fans what they wanted to see most in his last movie.
In addition to Wolverine in the yellow costume, fans also stated they wanted to see Wolverine vs. Sabretooth.
Jackman then took to twitter teasing “Let’s do this. [Who’s] with me!? #WOLFPACK vs. #DOGPOUND,” of which Liev Shreiber, Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, took notice to and replied “Do I have to do that…“
Now while appearing recently on Jimmy Fallon, Liev Schreiber is asked about playing Sabretooth again.
“People have surmised that from my tweet,” Shreiber said about Wolverine vs. Sabretooth happening, but he goes on to state he meant is that how he has to approach getting older, referencing Jackman exercising in the image. “I was just saying is that really something I have to do as I get older, as I approach middle-age… Like that.”
“He’s setting the bar a little high for us, isn’t he?” Shreiber questioned.
Regarding returning for the third Wolverine film, Shreiber offered: “Well, what I heard – I don’t know if I am invited – but what I heard was the storyline is ‘Old Man Logan.’ And when I heard that I thought ‘well, you know there’s Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth…”
Fallon and Shreiber go on to joke about the two in wheel chairs, with Shreiber adding, “I think I can do that.”
The third Wolverine film has a March 3, 2017 release with James Mangold returning to direct.
